Disregarding box office numbers...

...is "Justice League" really that bad? After all, some really great films didn't do well at the box office on their original release ("The Wizard of Oz" comes to mind).

I haven't seen it and want to know. And, please, provide the main reasons for your view. Thanks!

yes, I'm not hard to please when it comes to movies(I enjoy the Transformers movies)...But JL is just A Mess, You can actually tell its not a well made movie, Scenes jump around, really bad pacing problems, The Tones switch every other scene, The Story doesn't make sense and is extremely thin because of Massive Edits....

and I'm not kidding you can tell this from the very second the movie starts...THe movies opening scene is A Superman scene that was added in Post Productions, where its shot with A camcorder, in it Superman has unfinished CGI and the scene Literally Has no purpose, when you watch the scene You think "Well they are probably setting something up for later in the movie, something that will make this scene important".....aaaaaannnnnd Nope, NOthing there is literally nothing about the scene the rest of the movie, I swear to god its also like they needed to get the run time up 1 more minute and just threw this scene in that had no purpose and was never at any point followed up on or expanded on the rest of the movie...

You can literally tell from the first scene of the movie, the movie is poorly made...Its adtonishing

Thanks, Bill.

i thought the opening was one of the best things in the movie, it was some little kids running up to superman right after some heroic deed and interviewing superman on their phone, it was like found footage.

when that was the opening to the movie i was like wow this is going to be good,
but it wasn't too good...

yea it's not worth seeing for $12, but it's worth seeing for $0

reply

Lol, yeah, I decided to wait and see it for free; thanks!

Came into watching the movie with low expectations and shook my head throughout the movie. And this is coming from someone who's a bigger fan of dc comics than marvel.

Take your pic:

1 - Awful CGI all over
2 - Superman's upper lip [the Mustache demanded to be removed from the movie]
3 - Disjointed scenes through out.
4 - egregious attempts at humor that fall flat
5 - barely existing plot
6 - Green screen is obvious
7 - "1 % chance" Batman line now is "an infinitesimal chance" [which even Cyborg remarks as silly]
8 - Superman is like the big brother you call to kick the school bully.
9 - "Kal-EL NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" signed: Gal Gadot
10 - Steppenwolf looks like he was cut out from a video game from way back in the 90's.
11 - If you've seen Avengers, it's basically that movie step by step, only 100 times worse with a sprinkle of MoS.
12 - Scenes with Flash were straight out of X-Men movies with Quicksilver [the Superman vs Flash scene specially]

and a lot... lot more.

reply

Twisted...could you give me some examples of the "egregious attempts at humor"?

reply

The "itchy" joke for example, felt flat. Even Lois didn't find it funny.

reply

Flash - "i need friends"
Batman - "I didn't bring a trident"

and many many more

reply

That"s it?

reply

No, there's literally only a few jokes that made a small chuckle in the theatre.

reply

I appreciate your detailed explanation, Twisted. :)

I'm on the fence too, but I'm leaning towards checking it out.
