Man of Steel was released in 2013. We are in 2017, and there is not even talk of a sequel. Yet there is a lot of talk of a Batman film. There is absolutely no chance of a sequel before 2020. That is 7 years with no sequel. The only film in the MCU which has gone more than 4 years without a sequel is The Incredible Hulk.

MoS isn't such a good film, it's just okay. There are some retarded moments. Anyway, it's all WB. They wanted to just fast forward to MCU's progress..wanted Bats, Supes and WW in the same film..thought Batman vs Superman would be an interesting take, which is, but they couldn't execute well as Snyder went bonkers, burn through several big storylines for just one movie, and in the end, we got potato.

Getting a sequel doesn't automatically make that film good, also many great films don't get sequels. And majority of the time, that's a good thing.
But you forget the Man Of Steel did get a sequel, it may not be a standalone Superman film but it's a second film to a continuing story.
BvS is a sequel to MoS for sure.

Man of Steel was written and created by Johnathan and Chris Nolan's and David Goyer. Once the screenplay reached a good enough point they scouted for a director.
Snyder was selected and he did an amazing job with the script.
The film was a hit whether people like to believe it or not. It was one of the highest grossing comic book movies right behind The Dark Knight and the Avengers and it beat BOTH of those films in home video sales.
Now that the film made the money it needed a sequel was in the works. Snyder asked if he could add Batman and WB said yes. After that is when they started losing control because they had already written and filmed a good chunk of the movie and then Chris Terrio was brought on to do rewrites. This is where I think things got messed up. The movie was DONE and then they decided to make changes which ended up with the film we got.
I'm not entirely satisfied with BvS but its still a great movie and honestly one of the better comic book movies to have come out. Like ever.

Not really. It makes only 668 Million worldwide, against a Budget of 225 Million. Not really impressive for a Superhero Movie. And hes only on the 19th place.
MOS beat a few MCU films and don't forget that it was competing against two blockbusters in its second weekend. Anyway, did you all not hear that a solo sequel is in development?

I agree! Chris Terrio's batman dialog was terrible. They should have trusted Zach and Goyer, IMO these guys have made some of the best superhero movies, Watchmen, TDK trilogy, 300, MoS were all brilliant! Snyder and Goyer were clearly scapegoats in this situation.
shareMan of steel 2 hasnt come out yet. bVS was a prequel to JL. So hope that clears it up for you. You can't compare marvel to D.C. Marvel is much more jokey as the marvel universe is a derivative of the D.C. Universe to begin with. It's like comparing Aerosmith to Led Zeppelin
