Wow, you are all BEYOND stubborn.

OK, so, besides the fact that Boll is directing, there is nothing which majorly flaws this film. Decent action, decent acting, good dialogue, and cool cinematography. It also shows a very rarely told series of events from the Vietnam war.

So, IMDB's public gives Tunnel Rats a 3.8, but the IMDB public gives Marley and Me a 7.3?! What is wrong with you all? For shame, for shame..

I just watched this and I have to say, better than most of his flicks. But still lacks something. It started off fairly ok but I soon found myself laughing. Anyways I managed to watch it till the end so that's definately a plus. This is probably the best thing he'll ever come up with.

True, Boll is awful (except for Postal) but Tunnel rats was a pretty decentg movie... If I didn't know it was directed by him I would have never guessed it... I could compare it to Hamburger hill actually.

I quite enjoyed it. The film is just meant to show a bit of the experience of war. It didn't try to have a story and fail. It did what it needed to do. I enjoyed it, and there was some suspense and thrills to it.

The acting and directing was quite good, and you would not pick this as a Boll film if shown to you with no information.

So yeah while not great, i would say the crap factor which can be high in boll films was actually really low. Nothing stood out as bad. People can bitch about uniforms, weapons, helicopters.. who cares.. if thats what you have to bitch about.. must mean the rest can't of been to bad. It's meant to be an entertaining film about people in battle and it succeeded.

Agreed, this was a pretty good war movie. This just shows that you can't always trust IMDB ratings, especially if the director is Uwe Boll :)

7/10.

I tried watching 'Tunnel Rats' and 'Transformers 2' back-to-back. I finished Tunnel Rats and thought it was great for an action film. I couldn't get past the 40-45 minute mark with Transformer 2. Talk about a **** film.

I didn't like the way it was filmed, it often felt like an amateur documentary

other than that:
- brutal action scenes, yet not unrealistic, I loved that
- emotionally it was quite impressive, and again not unrealistic: anger, fear, hate, doubt, guilt... not the usual "I had the perfect marriage, but than found my wife and kid murdered. to bad for the bad guys I'm a cross between Rambo, James Bond and the Terminator..."
- the tunnel scenes were scary stuff, a real thriller
- I loved the ending, the putting down the weapons, save the kids, get blown up by your own air support, everyone dies...
