That isn't surprising, since Chakan the Forever Man is undoubtedly at least partially inspired by Solomon Kane, who first appeared in August 1928.

Chakan was one of my favorite games growing up. It was also, easily the hardest game I've ever played. Even on Easy mode that game was brutal.

Chakan is a ripoff of Solomon Kane, so no surprise there.
