Was like two different directors made it and edited it together

Slow, then fast, slow then deep(ish), slow then horror, slow then fight scene, slow then cgi monsters. Was actually a bit painful to watch this, maybe I wasnt in the mood, but I think it just didnt cut it as an action drama, something was lacking. It did have some great scenes in amongst the mish mash of a story, but were few and didnt make up for the slowing pace, like a big movie bus slowly stopping over 2 hours. My wife asked me 4 or five times why I chose this movie, I said "god dam it woman you were like this when I chose *beep* Island, I didnt make the *beep* thing, you cant talk anyway, you came back with not one but two bloody movies about love letters, both were sh*te, thats it I cant take this, I want a divorce, I want a *beep* divorce you have killed my sole you sea hag".

So your wife was right?

I suppose she was right in the fact I chose another clanking movie, like shutter island which clunked and clanked along like a rusting robot with clown shoes.

Try Disney's Treasure Planet, Lilo and Stitch, Mission Impossible 3, Paycheck, Taken, A Goofy Movie, Iron Man (maybe not Iron Man 2, though, since there's a LOT of dialogue and only about three, maybe four action scenes), pretty much any older Jackie Chan movie (Rumble in the Bronx, Mr. Nice Guy, Operation Condor, Armour of God) Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang; Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Oscar (a comedy with Sylverster Stalone, I watch it all the time, it's great, and has wonderful music)The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Behind Enemy Lines, The Losers, A-team or Inception.

All great movies.

OP, you nailed it. I couldn't put my finger on it, but that is what is wrong with this flick. Worst movie I've ever seen.
