I much prefer it to the original. Unpopular opinion, I know.

It's good for a 5.5/10 user rating. Too bad Jaden Smith is a humongous piece of *beep*

I don't prefer it to the original but I do feel that it is much better than a lot of people give it credit for. I watched it again tonight after not having seen it for a long time and quite enjoyed it. It has its flaws (specifically the first 10 to 15 minutes + Jaden Smith's part) but as a whole it wasn't bad at all. One of the few remakes where the modernised plot worked really well for me. Not a masterpiece but not bad either.
