papi mute? Poorly mis-casted
I read the books - I'm aware of the characters, but Papi was a non-factor in the movie. I saw no significance in her presence on the screen especially during the ending when Lina and Doon are trying to solve the mystery behind the Builders instructions. She was mute- but in the book she actually played a role of a loving and supportive sister. She lacked charisma in this movie.... In the movie she was presented as a big inconvenience for both characters. I wanted to slap that little girl LOL.
As for Doon - come on.......when I read the book these kids were in their early to mid teens (12-15 years old). Lina pulled it off with her looks and personality, but Doon - he was a man - not a boy. I question what producer he was schmoozing to get that role? lol.
Tim Robbins was good, Bill Murray was good. Lina was good. Papi? umm they could of did without her presence on the screen. Doon - he unfortunately ruined bits of the movie for me due to the mis-casting of him in that role....
Peace and L0ve. ;)
