City of Ember, and Myst

I haven't read the Myst series of books in a long time but I think I remember something like this in the story, about an underground city on a lake that used algae for light or something? I can't really remember much about the story but if it's anything similar I'd like to know.

You're right! The Myst books are similar to this. The second book(The Book of Ti'Ana)is the one you're thinking of I think. It's been a while since i read them, but I do remember them describing D'ni and the algae lake. Man, now I want to go read those books! :)
