what's wrong with subtitled movie?

Just wonder why Charlene was so pissed off with subtitled movie, I heard american hate reading, even subtitle.

Its not exactly a type of movie you bring a girl on the first date to see.

If you don't like Man of Steel, then you can giiiit out.

They're supposed to be poor, white trash who don't like to read books, never mind an entire movie. I know people like that.

I am an American and I love to read, but you've got to understand our culture. We all watch American movies, and they almost never have subtitles. For us, subtitles are a distraction from the rest of the movie. I personally don't like them much either, although if a foreign movie is exceptional, I'll watch it with subtitles. We just don't prefer them.

because your country produced a lot of awesome movie, just check out THE RAID 2, better than a lot of USA action movie.
