The Sanchez fight error

The title card lists the fight at the Thomas and Mack Center, but the ring girls hold up Caesar's Palace placards and the Caesar's logo is all over the ring.

Ok that's a "goof", but the real error with the Micky/Sanchez fight is that Micky wins. Yeah I know Micky let Sanchez wear himself down by taking blows and remaining defensive. But come on - one kidney punch from Micky and Sanchez goes down for the count? It didn't even look like much of a punch. Someone with more boxing experience than me please explain how Sanchez would go down so abruptly from one punch after totally dominating Micky the whole match.

LMAO. . .asked and answered. Well played, ma'am. . .well played

"Personally I hope they make all the gods black and change it from Valhalla to Valholla!"

Wow, that's just like in the movie. He taps him and nothing major happens but it stands out and then a minute late he does it again but much harder and that flattens him. Even the taxi company owning manager looks like in the movie.

I think it was a liver punch, and from what i've heard it really really hurts.

Jim Lampley's comment "Isn't that what they call a Mexican liver shot?" didn't make it into the film, I see.

I love how RJ Jr is like "If I'd ordered this on pay-per-view, I'd want one-half of my money back," and the words are barely out of his mouth when Micky hits Sanchez the first time. RJ says "That was a good body shot by Ward, and it hurt the guy." How did he know? I didn't see any reaction from Sanchez... Could RJ tell that "it hurt the guy" from anything that Sanchez did, or just from personal experience?

And then when Micky clocks Sanchez and he goes down, RJ says "...and he won't make it back. He won't make it back. He will not make it back."

In the movie, I could have sworn I heard George Foreman's voice at the beginning of the fight, just once. Did anybody else notice that or am I mistaken?

Larry Merchant can be such a tosser.

George Foreman was the commentator the first bout of the Ward/Gatti trilogy. When Ward put Gatti down with a body shot, Foreman said “he’s not get up from that” but Gatti did and it turned into a great fight with Ward winning a majority decision.

Hahahhaha love when a knows all get put in his place, do your research.

The scene in the movie is almost frame to frame a recreation from what happened in real life, sometimes life is stranger than fiction.
