One of the overrated movie in this decade, if it's not save by Christian Bale's performance this mediocre garbage will end up for a mess like Joy.
Deal with it the Hack O'Russell's minions.

Strongly disagree, while I agree that Christian Bale gave the best performance, the movie had a great cast with Melissa Leo giving one of her best performances. Other solid actors where Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams, Jack McGee and Mickey O'Keeffe!
shareNot to mention the solid direction by Russell who has been killing it lately with this, 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'American Hustle'... The guy is on a roll. Add in the DP Hoyte Van Hoytema(Another guy on a roll with 'Let The Right One In' 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' 'Her' 'Interstellar' and next up Nolans 'Dunkirk') he captured the time era really well. The boxing scenes were incredibly sharp... I mean, what's not to like, right? Add in the cast as you mentioned, this was a great film and it's kinda been forgotten about since it's Oscar Wins.

I'm not a huge fan of DOR and although I think this this is better the silver linings and American hustle it's faint praise.
