She's not supposed to be Bettie Page.
She's supposed to be Amber Sweet. She's supposed to be a rich, selfish, spoiled, bitchy heiress. She's constantly causing scandals and embarrassing her family. She wants to be a star, she wants to sing, but she sucks and everyone knows it. Doesn't much matter, though, cuz she's practically a princess and she normally gets her way in the end. She's never really worked for anything in her life. Remind you of anyone?

I am not a Paris Hilton fan. I generally despise her. She's obnoxious, she can't sing or act, and she's one of the most self absorbed people on the planet. But she fit this role rather well. It's probably the best acting she's ever done. While parts of it were a tad overdone, she suited the role of Amber Sweet just fine.

Paris Hilton was fantastic in this movie!!! She did a really good job I think. They definitely did a good job in casting her; it was the reason I checked out this movie and now I love it.

Paris did well because she did not have to act at all to portray her character. she just had to show up and be herself.
shareOkay, Paris was great. She fit the role, and did you know that Darren at first REFUSED to let her try out? But she finally did, and she sang/read for it perfectly?

She played a character that was pretty much her in real life. Perfect fit.
