For a movie this popular I cant belive it's only earned that much, there has to be a mistake somewhere, even syfy films have made more, and a cult classic like this... I mean I dont know ANYONE who isnt familar with the film.

It was only released in 2008 in 7 cities. Lionsgate didn't do any sort of promoting under the assumption no one would like it.
