Is the Blu Ray worth it??

It has a very good price (alot better then the $30 dollars for Trick R Treat without the slipcover/ Sam's face/Digital Copy (yes Best buy does sorta suck)), but I already have the DVD. I love this movie but I dunno if I love it so much to buy it on blu ray. Any thoughts?? How does it look and the special features compared to the DVD.

Well, the biggie that I know of is all of the deleted scenes. You don't get that with the DVD, sadly. I can honestly say that if I had a blu ray player I'd get the blu ray version of this. Then again, it all depends on whether or not you'd get a lot of use out of all of the blu ray extras.

I think that netflix or some other dvd rental place could rent you a copy & you could check it out for yourself.

If you ever want to show off how HD looks on your TV with blu ray. Buy it.
It looks amazing.

It looks really great and was quite cheap on Amazon when I got it. It was only around $15.

And nobody will sound the alarm.

BIG thing - Deleted scenes.

HOWEVER - with a movie this laden in color and "graphics", Blu-Ray is most definitely the way to go!

Yeah, it looks great. It also has a few more special features like deleted scenes.

I listened to the comentary and the director mentions if the DVD sells well, there will be a "director's cut" with all the deleted senes...from the sounds of it, I guess they simply stuck them on the Blu Ray and ditched the DC idea.

I don't think they've ditched the plan entirely as there are more scenes than just the ones on the disc that were cut out. Darren hasn't forgotten about Repo.

Seeing how old this post it, I'm sure you already own it on Blu-Ray by now. If not, you NEED to!

Once I had seen the movie on DVD rental, thanks to working at Hollywood Video at the time... I knew I had to see it as an EVENT. Went to the showing the next night and loved it even more, than watching it alone in my room.

After seeing it on DVD and the "big screen", I wanted it on Blu-Ray. So that's the copy that I bought for myself. I also bought a DVD copy, to help the sales and to have a copy to lend to people.

Definitely worth picking up on Blu-Ray, if you haven't already. The colors are incredible and the deleted scenes aren't a bad bonus.
