I have mixed feelings about this film

On the one hand, everything about the sets, costumes, make-up, premise, and characters is frigging awesome.

On the other hand, a majority of the songs are awful, and there are A LOT of songs in this movie. I enjoyed Zydrate Anatomy, Chase The Morning, Let The Monster Rise, and all of the ones done on stage, but aside from that, I thought they ranged from mediocre to complete garbage.

This movie had a lot of potential, and it also had a lot of ambition, but that can only take it so far. If they had gotten somebody more talented to write the songs (hell, there were moments where even I felt I could do better), this could have easily become my favorite movie. As it is, it's enjoyable enough, I might even say it's great, but I can't help feeling sad about what could have been...

I respect your opinion, and I disagree with it.

I think the story is great, the costumes, the characters, the set colors and mood, but the majority of the music, lyrics and singing was poor. Which I would think is the most important part of a rock opera... I wanted this to be so much more, so close but no cigar. I really liked Chase the Morning, but that's about it.

That's how I feel about it too. I'm halfway between "this is brilliant" and "this is a train wreck, wtf am I even watching??!!" Sarah Brightman and Anthony Stewart Head were fantastic in it though. That much I know for sure.

RED! The blood of angry men
BLACK! The dark of ages past!
