Rocky vs. Repo!

I am a Rockyphan first, and foremost, but I really do also like Repo! The Genetic Opera.

So I basically just explained why I'm posting here, to compare the two, however just like linkara says in "History Of Power Rangers", this list is my opinion.

However the biggest misconception is about how alike these movies are, I'll break this one down.

The (wonderfully weird) Rocky Horror Picture Show is basically a comedy, not to be taken seriously at all.

Repo! The Genetic Opera even though containing humorous elements is much more of a darker, and more dramatic story, also more gore.

The only real similarities they have is that they're horror themed musicals, Rocky Horror takes it's inspiration from B Movies, while Repo is a more dystopian rock opera, kind of like "Jesus Christ Superstar" meets "Soylent Green".

I like the songs from both films, I need to point out that in repo's case there are a couple songs I don't care about. (One of which will be used in a "Jamie Whales Review" Top 12 List.)

May favorites from Rocky are, "Time Warp","Over At The Frankenstein Place","Science Fiction Double Feature", and "What Ever Happened To Saturday Night? (Hot Patootie)".

I also like "Once In A While", but I attribute it more to the play, it's an afterthought as the movie is concerned, however a better deleted scene than "I Love Her" from "Across The Universe".

May favorites from Repo are, "Night Surgeon", "Chase The Morning", and "Genetic Emancipation (Free At Last)".
