Everything I Hated... And I Actually Went In With Optimism
I was excited to watch this movie. I was just honestly disappointed by it. Here's why:
--- spoilers ---
1. The movie was way too effing long.
2. This shouldn't have been an opera. It should have been a musical, because when you try to force-rhyme things and make dialogue into songs, it sounds idiotic. You end up breaking sentences up in weird places, rather than just getting a point across.
3. The only song that didn't suck total dick was Zydrate Anatomy.
4. Everyone's singing voice sounds really bad. Even Sarah Brightman sounds like sh*t in this movie.
5. Pavi, Luigi and Amber were the most interesting characters, yet they were given very little dialogue, and zero plot development, or background expansion. The movie should've focused on them, but instead we were focused on a sick boring angsty teen.
6. Why is Pavi's face so effed up? I mean his face under the faces he wears. Why the *beep* does he have metal in his face to hold faces on? His sister gets new faces surgically put on every 5 minutes, but for some reason he needs to have brackets because of the frequency at which he trades up? Are you serious?
7. You can get zydrate from the skulls of dead people?.. Waaaatttt?
8. Ambers face fell off.. Waaaaattttt?
... Graverobber was good though.
I liked the concept of this movie. It just fell really short in my opinion.
