Ghost Writer?

Let me start by saying that I absolutely adore the music to this movie. But I've been listening to what's out there of the soundtracks from previous iterations of Repo! both on the stage and in the short film, and I can't help but shake the feeling that a ghost writer (perhaps working under the credit of an "orchestrator") helped make the movie's music what it was. I mean, there are hints of brilliance (sometimes a lot more than hints) in those tracks from the stage shows and short film, but the orchestration doesn't feel anywhere near as complete and full as it does in the soundtrack of the film. Now, I know that some of that could be explained away by saying that they had a much larger budget for those sorts of things where the film is concerned, but something still just seems off about it.

I cannot help but shake the feeling that someone other than Smith and Zdunich came in and elevated the music to a much higher level for the film than it had been in previous productions. Anyone else get this feeling too? Or maybe even there's some information on this somewhere that someone has and can illuminate the situation.

Not a ghost writer, music producer Joseph Bishara. In the commentary he states that once he saw film footage, he was inspired to improve the music to match the quality of the visuals.

I'm only a few years late.
