Script written by hippies.
Usually I don't bother to review mediocre movies. It either moves me enough to complain or praise it or I don't bother. The International is an abyss of mediocrity but what makes it really stand out as something to complain about is this movie is a living stereotype that serves to justify what conservatives think of Hollywood. This script was written by hippies who think all forms of capitalism is evil, and anyone who handles a gun is a careless jerk.
That shoot out in the art gallery should have left Clive Owen's boots soaked past his ankles with the blood of Japanese tourists. But since this film was written and directed by hippies, hippies believe that people who visit art galleries or museums don’t deserve to die.
So this is what I learned from The International. Banks are evil. Capitalism is evil. Guns are bad. Shooting up a world famous art gallery is not nearly as cool as it sounds. And hippies should stay away from word processors and go back to smoking weed and sucking the fun out of the acoustic guitar.
