Baroness Lehzen?

What was the issue with Baroness Lehzen, and why didn't she like Albert? She was finally "dismissed" as one of Victoria's ladies in waiting to make Albert feel more at home (at least that is what I gathered by the film). I don't understand the background on this. Does anyone know?

Had she been Victoria's nanny/substitute mother/guardian or something because Victoria mentions that while watching Lehzen leave the palace.

Yes, I believe Lehzen was basically Victoria's governess and had raised her since she was a child. When Lord Melbourne finally suggests "there's one more thing you have to do" (in order to make Albert feel welcome), he is suggesting that Lehzen must go away so Victoria can make room for her relationship with Albert as her primary relationship.
