Coldstream Guards
Not exactly a major point but one for the nerds like me ! In scenes where we saw the 2nd Regt of Foot Guards, the rank and file had narrow white piping down the vertical front edge of their double-breasted coatee. I was always led to believe white piping only came in after the Crimean War, when double-breasted skirted tunics were adopted and that the 1828 pattern coatees were un-piped.
Any opinions (apart from "get a life") ?
