where did the Garveys go?

I haven't finished this season yet, I have 2 episodes left, but my friend said the Garvey family dont come back this season. What happened? Why have they gone?

As seen in the first two episodes of series 7, they inherited some money and flew out to Vegas to claim it.

Nope. All of the actors in the family decided to leave.

I think Madge is guest starring in an episode of series 8 next year though.

The actors who play Mick and Janice have their own independent projects. Their other roles are taking up more of their time so they don't have time for Benidorm. I don't think they expected Benidorm to last this many seasons and were ready for a change.
