Similarity to 'Brimstone'

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else in the board.

I haven't seen any episodes of "Reaper", but from its description, it sounds very similar to "Brimstone". At least the 'bounty hunter for Satan' part.

Anyone familiar with both shows?

Thoughts?

Yes, I'm familiar with both show, and, yes, both have essentially the same plotline. But Reaper was essentially a comedy. Give Reaper a try. The first season episodes are available on HULU for free. Watch the Pilot, if you don't like the Pilot, you won't like the show. After the pilot, the next 9 or 10 episodes concentrate on hunting the soul of the week and Sam's relationship with the devil (John Glover's devil pales in comparison to Ray Wise) and Sam with his girlfriend. The show really takes off with episode #12, The Unseen, and the introduction of Tony and Steve. Those last seven episodes really advance the plotline quickly from week to week.

I've seen (and love) both shows, and yes, Reaper was essentially a comedic version of Brimstone. Both canceled before their time.
