Why did this show get cancelled?

Just started watching this on Netflix and was kinda curious why it got axed.

I just saw Hayley's Comet, She waved. Said, "Why you always running in place?"

Very simply, it did not fit the demo that the head of the CW Network is trying to reach (women 15-34). It's ratings (total audience) were equal to or better than many of the current shows (90210, Gossip Girls, etc.) but those shows appeal to her target age group, so they stay on.

How bizarre, cause as a woman in that age group for that time, I did not watch 90210 or Gossip Girls. I'm just now watching the Reaper and find it hilarious.

reply

That and the writers' strike pretty much murdered it.

^ That's the real answer

but also cos it's creative, unique, genuinely funny and an actually good show - of course the execs had to cancel it and keep their crappy shows

It was put on the time slot as American Idol. What do you think is going to win?

reply

I hated my highschool years.
It was the end of college students in dramatic lives and the beginning of vampires that sulk in silence on the CW. Plus we had Smallville, which will forever be considered a waste of time to me.

Of course the girls that watch CW wouldn't watch a clever show about three average joe guys taking on the devil

How retarted. I'm 23, but I never watched Gossip Girl, 90210, or any of those kind of shows. I just started watching this show on Netflix too and I think it's hilarious! You can really feel the Kevin Smith vibe in it too, and I love Kevin Smith.

IMDB is nothing but criticism. Expect it.
