finally watched this

I've just watched this for the first time (directors cut) and have to say I found it pretty enjoyable for a generic medieval tale. Not quite what I expected, but good nonetheless.

However, as pointed out in other threads, the accents were a bit of a distraction. Surely they could have worked on them a bit more?

I also thought that the Sheriff of Nottingham was very under used, though maybe a sequel could have him more involved. I think the ending sets up nicely for a follow up "Robin Hood: The adventures" or similar, having more of the robbing from the rich and giving to the poor story we all know, fleshing out the Merry Men more, and I assume the "lost boys" would join them.

I saw this once years ago, but I could barely remember it. Then I got the Director's Cut DVD, and watched it again last night. Better than I remember, but I could barely remember it aside from the very end.
