That rig can run very high easily. Get new drivers, reinstall everything. An 8800 Ultra and a Core 2 DUO E8200 @ 2.66 ghz can run very high at 30-40 FPS.

I'm running XP Pro 32 bit, AMD 6400+ dual core, 2GB PC6400, 2 9800 GTX in SLI at 738core/2250memory clock settings and a X-Fi Extreme Audio sound card on an ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless board, which is not OC'd at all. I have it at the "high" settings for the graphics and have not had any problems at all with it.

I bet your motherboard could support up to 8gig of DDR2 RAM. That would be the cheapest and most obvious upgrade you could do. If you want to play on the higher settings you may have to:

a) consider playing on DX9 mode instead, on the higher settings it looks almost exactly the same as DX10

b) turn off AA or shading. These are the biggest culprits when it comes to lowering your FPS.

3GB of Ram isnt good. You must have either 2 or 4 to work in dual channel.

Are you serious? My computer is less powerful than that and I can play it just fine on high settings. Something must be serious wrong with your computer.

I have a Core2Duo 2.66ghz, 4gb of ram and an ATI Radeon 4870 and can run on enthusiast setting with no problems.

I have an Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.0 ghz, 2 GB of RAM and a Radeon HD 4850 512 MB, and runs it fine at 1680x1050 all at high settings, but no AA :) Your computer should get to run it just fine. If you mean the Very High settings in Crysis, you can't enable that unless you are running Crysis on Vista with DX10.

E8400 @ 3.6 ghz (1600 mhz FSB), 4 x 1 GB Crucial Ballistix PC2 6400 RAM @ 960 mhz, (EVGA) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 CORE 216 @ 684/1476/1190, here is a benchmark.

Run #1- DX10 1680x1050 AA=No AA, 64 bit test, Quality: High ~~ Minimum FPS: 33.44 Maximum FPS: 66.31 Last Average FPS: 46.30
