'Hide and Seek'?

A single father moves his two children to rural Illinois, only to watch his daughter exhibit increasingly strange behavior.
------------------------------------

I'm sorry, I can't wait to see this, but does it not sound very much like 2005's Dakota Fanning / Robert De Niro film, "Hide and Seek"?

----------------
After his wife commits suicide, David Callway and his daughter, Emily, move upstate to find peace and "restart" their lives. But when mysterious and dangerous things start happening, and Emily makes a new friend named Charlie, David and Emily's doctor, Katherine, begin to worry. ya this is total bull shat....Kevin Costner needs to get back to making historical period films that have alot of action/romance/morals/etc...Like Untouchables/dances with wolves/Robin Hood.. and so on....He can leave the stupid 1hr 20 min dime a dozen date movies to someone else.

I've never seen Hide and Seek, but the story The New Daughter is really good. And if you think Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is a good movie, then it's kind of hard to take your opinions on movies seriously. And I never thought a Horror movie was a date movie, personally, but that's just me, I guess! ;)

this story is nothing like HIDE AND SEEK...the daughter becomes possessed or replaced by something inside the ground near their new house..this story freaked me out big time.

They are very different, and not at all alike. Read the short story, you'll find it in John Connolly's book called Nocturnes.
