I didnt even realize I was watching a scary film till 10 min into the movie, lol. I thought it was going to be a drama as with most Costner's films...so it turned out to be a pleasant surprise!!

i wouldn't really consider this movie horror... its more of a thriller, infact nothing caused me to jump or even get slightly scared until the last 20 minutes of the movie and even then it wasn't really scary as it was unsettling. Infact i'm fairly sure i didn't jump not even once, and i'm typically like a school girl in horror movies lol... even though im a guy.
The end was kinda like Signs as someone in the reviews mentioned but a lil closer to home being I live in tennessee just across the mountian from were this supposidly took place in the carolinas, and it wasn't aliens but rather ancient indian burial grounds or the god of those indians.
never the less it was a descent thriller :)
