QUESTIONS AND SPOILERS

SPOILERS ABOUND SO STOP NOW IF YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW

I am confused by many things in the edit of this movie but for now - what was with the odd cutting in the final scene.
There was a creature standing behind the daughter - was he threatening her or just standing there and growling?

I'm thinking it was there to protect the girl who is pregnant with those things but wanted another opinion. The angle was so odd I thought I was supoosed to be getting something and wasnt.

And also - who killed the female teacher? Did the girl or was it one of the creatures?

And the school bully incident - that was beyond odd. She pushed her down the stairs and KC is called to the school where she is "resting"????? Why isnt the bully screaming that she was pushed? Why isnt Louisa brought up on charges or suspended? It made no sense or am I missing something?

(I found it interesting how they underplay the molestation. You have to be paying attention in the early part to really get that she had been raped by these creatures. If not you just assume that lying on the mound had possessed her.)

there are no answers to any of these questions because this movie was lazy and stupid. :-)

When the daughter was bathing, she wasn't injured, just muddy. Then as the water drained away, there was blood in it. I thought this was our clue that she had been raped.

Don't know who killed the teacher.

1. the creature wasnt threatening her, it was guarding her as she was changing into one of them. that made KC drop the flare and cause an explosion
2. the female teacher was pointing at louisia before she died so i think we can assume she killed her.
3. i have no idea about the school bully incident. felt like a scene was cut out.either that or she somehow amazingly pushed her off the stairs and also managed to wipe that memory off her brain. apart from this incident i enjoyed the movie

My take on the final mound scenes was that the creature was causing her to turn into one of them. It was holding out its hand and chanting in its own language.

Luisa, meanwhile was begging "Daddy don't leave me", even as she changed.

He chose not to leave, which maybe wasn't such a great decision on his part, given the final scenes.

I was waiting for a shuggoth to come out of the shadows. heh.

I agree with vijayforever on point 1 and 2.
But point 3 seems obvious, the school bully was scared of Louisa (after being pushed down the stairs) and therefore didn't tell the truth.

Ash: Hail to the king, baby.
