He's not, stupid. When he takes a role it's because it's something he's interested in. It's not that hard to "get". He's doing great, especially with his band, Modern West. If people like you weren't so damned critical all the time, others might not believe something bad when it's not. AND FYI, The New Daughter is a very good thriller.
shareIf people like you weren't so damned critical all the time, others might not believe something bad when it's not. When was I critical? Dude, one word...clarity.
YOU were critical when you implied he is hard up for money. He's doing great and I repeat, he does movies that interest him. He liked TND and so does a LOT of people. AND dude...I'm NOT one of those. I am a lady. One word, clarity? That didn't really fit in with your chop at me.
shareLMAO i was wondering the same damn thing. i saw this on TV and i was like....WTF? costner in a crappy horror movie playing a part that anyone could have played? is this not the same guy who played robin hood and in dances with wolves?? something isnt right here, i do think he may have needed the cash.
shareHe can DO WHATEVER THE HELL HE WANTS, got it? He is staying power in the movie world. Leave him alone.
sharei thought it was pretty good actually. although i never liked Costner, he made the movie interesting enough. i liked it.
shareMy husband and I are thinking that Mr. Costner must have been terrific friends with the creator/writer/producer/whatever of this film and acted the lead part simply out of friendship. Maybe he owed his friend a (huge) favor. But whatever, Mr. Costner usually holds out for movies with substance and meaning and we'd never seen him in something so *pointless* before... and we were disappointed. But oh well. To each his own.
shareAre you for real??? You don't know Kevin Costner by now; by what he does; believes in; etc.? He takes on a project that appeals to him. There was no buddy-buddy crap you limply implied. Geez, the man chooses what he likes. This script appealed to him! It was not pointless, as you put it...however, your comment is purely "POINTLESS"!
