Someone tell me the ending because I don't intend to actually watch the movie. My friend just went to watch it but won't tell me what happen and it doesn't sound like it's that much worth my money. All she said was that the ending was "something sad".
They all die. When the Dad goes to save the daughter in the mound, he blows it up with them in there assuming he got all the mound walkers. They show the little boy by the fence watching it all happen, and one last mound walker comes up behind him and snags him. Then it cuts to the credits...
Seriously, you are one of the most annoying, argumentative, petty posters I've ever come across during my 6 years on IMDb as a poster.
Please, explain to me how I spoiled the movie's ending? I answered the poster's question, since they said they were not going to watch the movie, and in my subject line I clearly typed SPOILERS which you apparently were unable to read or just couldn't understand that one simple word. If someone doesn't want to know the ending of the movie, those with an ounce of brains, unlike you my child, would have seen SPOILERS typed in my subject line and would realize not to read what I said about the end of the movie.
I have no idea that there was not another conclusion? I commented on what I saw, and what the movie alluded to, not putting things that were not said or seen at all in the movie together as an ASSUMPTION to my answer like you did in your other post. Why would I bother to come up with another conclusion? Simply because I used common sense based on what the movie portrayed, and gave my answer in that sense.
I don't like to be imaginary and extremely naive in creating the scene I would have liked to have seen, like you do. I use common sense and answer based on what the movie portrayed. There is a small chance you can be right and how I answered is incorrect, but by all means the family being alive is not only irrelevant and imaginary, it is unlikely and inconsistent with how the entire movie evolved.
Now before you throw more childish hissy fits and post impulsive, outlandishly ignorant, trite comments, try creating a cognizant argument first. Otherwise, feel free to continue portraying yourself as a vacuous fan of this horrendous film. I’ve wasted enough time on you as is. G’day.
Like ok, whatever. You have no idea what you're saying any more than I do. I'm NOT a teen. I do not throw childish hissy fits, etc, etc, etc. And I've wasted enough time on you too. You're on my ignore list. I suggest you put me there too. Problem solved.
My username, FYI, is KC's birthday spelled out. January one 18, 9 teen (19) 50 (fifty) 5= 1955 = one189teen50five...which doesn't mean in any way that I'm a snot nosed kid. Quite the contrary. I am quite mature and I know what I'm doing, thank you. It is not polite to laugh at someone's name or username...
seriously this movie made me so mad that i feel i need to get in on some of this... what is wrong with you one189teen50five? this is a spoiler thread. someone asked a question. someone gave the answer. anyone who didn't want it to be spoiled shouldn't have read. it says SPOILERS... i mean come on! that's like seeing a movie with the name Kevin Costner on it and thinking you're about to see a good movie...
Well, I'm too lazy, also. I like to know the ending of films like this. Depending on the end, I might choose not to watch it. I look in the Netflix discussions to determine if the ending is depressing or if the film is gory, etc. We all are different types... I always want to know. I appreciate the poster explaining it. No need to be grumpy when someone answers another person's question.

You're like me, I always read the plot of a movie on wikipedia before I see it. It's a bad habit I got into a few years ago. I like to know what characters are going to die so I don't get invested in a character to only watch their head gets chopped off. I know it sounds crazy. Honestly I can't watch a movie without looking it up any more. My friends make fun of me for it, but it's something I got into after a few years ago and been doing it ever since.
Well, your friends are idiots! Okay - maybe not idiots, but seriously... why would they make fun of you for that? I HATE to invest in a character without knowing ahead of time that they kill him. It angers me - I feel cheated. Your reasoning doesn't sound crazy at all. You sound like an ethical and caring person!
I'm an old lady. I work in medicine - I've seen enough suffering and death. I don't need any more of that in my entertainment, for pete's sake! I know some people feel like when they kill a main character or a really special person, it's profound or something. Well, seeing people dying in spite of our best efforts sure as hell isn't profound. I don't need any more of that. If I've seen three people die of cancer this week, I sure as hell don't want to pay for a film to see more of the same. Grumble...
Sounds like you and I would get along just fine! Usually, when I make a comment like that here, someone says something unkind about how I should stick with unicorns and rainbows. Hehehe... if those "sophisticated" folks spent a week with me battling glial cell blastoma, they just might be saying something quite different!
Love your response - thank you!

It's funny you say your an older woman. I'm only 27 but I started looking for spoilers when I was watching the last LotRs and my heart couldn't take not knowing what would happen to Frodo and Sam.
My friend thinks it's ruins the movie but for me its great. It's like I read the plot as if it's the 'book' then I see the movie and see how what I read differs from what I thought would happen to how it actually happens. Because even on Wikipedia, that usually goes into great detail on movies, still leaves things out.
Well, your friend can watch films any way she likes! For me - and probably you - the entire experience of the film is ruined if they kill the protagonist at the end. I absolutely hate to get attached to a character and be rooting for that person and then be shocked when they kill him in the end. What's the point of THAT?! Are they telling us life is difficult and we could kick the bucket at any time? Okay - already knew that.
It's lovely to find another person who feels as I do about these things. It just ticks me off when they kill someone I'm rooting for!
You know what they say... no one with missing teeth wears an Armani suit.
I agree 100%. I watch movies for entertainment, and while not exclusively demanding sunshine and unicorns etc., I don't like it when there's a bad ending for no reason. Like you go through the whole movie, la di dah, and the protagonist (or whomever) gets the shaft somehow and fairly unexpectedly. Lighten up! Life is hard enough! If you're going to do bad stuff to people in the movie, at least let there be some reason for it.
Thanks so much for your post! Agree 10000000%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow I missed the three coming up! Well actually I seen the one mound walker coming up behind the boy but I didn't notice one from the tree and one coming down from the roof. That poor kid. He probably wouldnt have made it even if he stayed in the house..
..if the dizzing highs don't subside overnight, Dr. blind just prescribe the red one..
There was actually more than one Mound Walker coming up from behind the boy. There was at least another one crawling around on the house in the back ground.
