why was she eating so ravenously??

At one point, she was at the table eating with her hands and looking kind of savage-like. I don't really understand the significance of this, were the things feeding off of her?

SPOILER ALERT - stop now if you havent seen the flick

Because the "change" has begun I guess.
She is pregnant or something from the creatures. Like the doll with the spider in its belly, she has something inside her now.
It's obvious from her dirty bath early on that she had been raped and so she is either pregnant or just "possessed" by these creatures now.
By the end, I guess we are to assume she is a lost cause.
And that makes her starved.

I thought that was a very dark aspect of the movie which I liked but its too bad the movie itself fell short in so many other ways.

oooh, that makes a lot of sense now. thanks !

I totally agree with you, it was a nice, dark aspect of the movie, but it did fall short in a lot of other ways...I enjoyed as I watched, but I was not happy with many other things, the ending being the biggest one.

yeah at that time she was already impregnated with creatures eggs, thus she was extra hungry.

She was pregnant, she was the new "queen". That's why she was building the nest in her closet and then the mound in the living room.

They were showing her spider like instincts
kicking in.

She was definitely preggers with a mound walker rape-baby. Creepy.

reply

Well, after all, she was eating for two!
