Time to Vote

Here are the chosen shows for consideration in alphabetical order.
Rank your top three and we'll go from there. The winner will be announced on Thursday 26 evening.

I'm thinking of doing something a little different. I ask for a rank of three so if you prefer you can rank the two you've suggested, plus one suggested by someone else. As it's been done since immemorial times, only the first place votes cast decide the winner.

Second and third place votes could count, however, if we find a consensus there and in case first-rank vote gets really tied up. Trust me, that makes sense. Besides, shows that receive good voting now but are not eventually picked, will feature in a reminder list in the next voting. Later we can also think of a better way to use second and third-rank votes. Yers, sometimes I like to complicate things.

Wlcebtg, your suggestions are a little fuzzy, so I'll pick the two shows you first mentioned.

Here are the candidates:

Battlestar Galactica (1978) – 24 eps.
Darkroom – 16 eps.
Day Break – 13 eps.
God, the Devil and Bob – 13 eps.
Tales of Tomorrow (Season 1) – 26 eps.
Terriers – 13 eps.
The Immortal (1970) – 15 eps.
The Middleman – 12 eps.
The Prisoner (1967) – 17 eps.
Then Came Bronson – 26 eps.

My vote is:

1- Day Break

Plus

2- The Prisoner
3- God, the Devil and Bob

reply

1. The Prisoner
2. God, The Devil & Bob
3. The Middleman

Having now voted, I just want to note that I have noticed availability problems with Then Came Bronson, and The Immortal as well as a likely availability problem with Darkroom, which I found at Amazon but in a Region 4 PAL format DVD. The PAL format's not really a big deal to view on my computer, but the Region 4 (Australia) could be a problem.

Everything else on the list is easy to get.

I'd've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

Here's my vote

The Prisoner would be a hard watch but I'm in for whatever the group picks. Yea everything I would like to re-visit is just to hard to find. The Immortal is out there but not going to buy stuff people recorded off TV and selling on ebay. We all have our limits. For those would would like to watch Journey to the Unknown they appear to be on youtube. I always loved the music they played at the beginning.

1 God, the Devil and Bob – 13 eps.

A Tales of Tomorrow (Season 1) – 26 eps
B The Middleman

Yes... How many usually used to vote?

reply

Well, I'll throw in my suggestions from time to time, but I never vote. Between program access issues and my personal availability issues, I can only participate about half the time. It doesn't seem right for me to vote without committing to join the fray. Sort of like saying, "Here's what I want you guys to watch."

dtmuller, glad you dropped by at least.

usually six to eight, once in a while ten but there are only a few hard core people who have watched every episode of every show that has been selected....if it's 4 it's 4 and we'll pick some up as we go.....usually.....
