Would you say the protagonist arcs?

So I had a dispute with someone the other day about whether or not Colter's character arcs in this film.

When it comes to arc, I typically think of the character changing their outlook or values in order to, or as a result of, overcoming the central obstacle in a story. The classic example is RAIN MAN. The title character begins and ends as pretty much the same person, whereas Charlie Babbitt has gained a new understanding, and reorients his values.

So you had a dispute, and you don't bother to share your side of the argument?

Well anyway, I would say "no, not really", because the 'before' is never really fleshed out. He was a soldier, he has a dad. Other than that what do we know about this guy? There's nothing to suggest he changed because we don't know how he was to begin with. At the beginning he treated the people as real, and that mindset never changed, only strengthened.
