Can anyone see a similarity between this and 'Asylum of the Daleks? Which story came first?

Daleks always had cyborg tech, so not much experimental about what they did to her.
You could equate the lurid dreams of a coma patient to either of these stories....

Can you refresh my memory on what happened with her? Been awhile since seeing the episode where it was explained and can't really remember. Something like lots of copies of her floating throughout time and he just had a random one as a companion?
