Why are there no boards/pages for individual episodes?

IMDb has a separate page for each episode with ratings, reviews etc, so why don't we have that here?

Hard, if not impossible, to look up specific or episode-relevant topics in this clusterfuck of a forum. Doesn't help that the search engine doesn't bring up posts in the results either. Searching the site with Google is just tedious.

Re-watching the show currently and have been reading 8+ year old discussions in Reddit, but then those fuckers closed the main GoT sub boards due to the whole API issue a few days ago. Seven Hells!!!

Don't be silly.

Meaning?

There's what, three posts a month now, for the show as a whole?

It'd be ridiculous to make that many episode boards for a small site like this one in the first place, but splitting a low-traffic board up into 500 effective-zero traffic boards would be silly indeed.

True, no arguments there.

I was originally asking about the missing pages by episode, cause IMDb had them and I thought MC imported pretty much all of that site's archived content. Not saying they need to make new ones now, that would be a waste of time, for sure.

The poster below has mentioned how to look up the boards by episode, using the IMDb title. I did that, but looks like none of the discussions from individual episode pages got imported, unfortunately.

I think it's all too, too late for that now.

Because Season 8 happened since.

There's a way to actually go to a specific episode:

Original link:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0568623/?ref_=ttep_ep19

However, copy/paste [from the HTTP] ... into the MC search bar:
tt0568623

Arguments as to how clunky, none user-friendly it is, are for another time lol. But I hope this helps.

reply

Neat trick, thanks.

Unfortunately, looks like they didn't import the discussions for individual episodes from IMDb when they created this site :(

reply

Because this is the poor man's imdb, that's why

If you post about a specific episode, just include that in your headline

reply

Yes, we need a lot more posters here. It's mostly the same bunch of people and they mostly end up arguing about politics everywhere lol.

When IMDb closed the boards, there were another couple of sites similar to this one that were started purely for discussions. I've checked them a few times over the years and they have even less people than MC. Maybe if they all migrated here, it would make for a more decent-sized member base.

Yeah, when imdb shut down, everyone scattered to the four winds. And it's like streamers, I don't need a billion accounts, I'm not signing up for an account on a site that's for one specific show. This seems the most active and to have the best format, so here I stay. And yeah, people get annoyingly political on here. If it's relevant to the discussion, fine. If they're bashing someone as being something they don't like simply because they had a different opinion on something unrelated, but actually about whatever movie, well, the ignore feature is great. Not because I can't handle people who don't disagree with me, but because to me, this site is about movies and TV, and is supposed to be fun and about that, so I don't care to get into pointless debates with stupid trolls who will never change/open their minds.
