The Hound and Tormund are chatting, and Tormund states that he saw The Hound once at Winterfell. Please help me, I can't recall a time prior to now that they were both at Winterfell.
shareI do vaguely remember that conversation but I don't know, it could be something that's explained in the book. But I think the Hound was at winderfell in the first season when Robert made the trip north to see Ned. Maybe Tormund was there lurking around. idk...
shareI've been re-watching the show 1 episode a day. Watched that episode (Beyond the wall) yesterday.
You've got it wrong - Tormund never says he saw the hound at Winterfell. When he's chatting with the hound, he describes Brienne, at which point the hound recognizes the description and names her. A couple of lines later, he (hound) says, "She looks at you like she wants to carve you up and eat your liver" and Tormund replies, "You DO know her!", to which the hound replies, "We've met."
That last bit (we've met) refers to the hound meeting Brienne, not Tormund. Near the end of the conversation, Tormund says he hopes she's waiting for him in Winterfell lol. Your memory is a bit hazy, that's all.
Season 7 is so good and on par with S6 just because of all the characters meeting together, as well as having great action sequences like Dany laying waste to the Lannister army's salvage of High Garden and the fight scene from this episode. Dreading watching Season 8 cause it's gonna be so anti-climactic haha!
