So since Yara screwed a guy in the books, that makes two female bisexuals, and no lesbians!
Yeah come to think of it there was probably as much bisexual as homosexual action in the show which makes it all the more odd that there were no lesbians.
Well, it's not like women were free to live as lesbians, not in a society where marriages were arranged and breeding was all-important. A young lesbian would be married off at fifteen same as a straight girl, and would be expected to pop out all the children she could regardless of her feelings.
And while men could get out of marriage to women by becoming a Maester or a Septon, or joining the Night's Watch or aspiring to the Kingsguard, women could just become Septas or join the Silent Sisters. We don't know much about Septas, maybe they had tolerable lives, or some did. But the Silent Sisters? Oy.
