SPOILERS SO STOP NOW!!!!

LAST CHANCE!!!!

....OK...what did they do again? What was the point of them? This whole episode was a big nothing burger in terms of not knowing what was going to go down. D took the throne with the most minimal resistance....the only reason she rained fire was because well...she wanted to...Cersei surrendered even before then...and there wasn't any real resistance leading up to that either.

So...she really could have taken the throne at any time starting from season 7.

If she took it that easily after having half her forces AT LEAST depleted MINUS a dragon....then what chance did Cersie EVER HAVE!

Love the show as a whole...I don't lay this at the writer's feet entirely but...the writing and buildup has don

The Golden Company was completely pointless. Dani using Drogon alone took out all of Cersei’s forces. She could have taken the throne several seasons ago once the dragons were full grown.

If I wanted to nitpick, I would point out how last episode ballistas had almost magical accuracy, a single ballista, mounted on a ship being rocked around by waves, scored two very long range hits hits on a flying dragon. Meanwhile in this episode, dozens of ballistas can't score a hit on a dragon flying right over them.

The difference is who had the advantage of stealth. But yeah, if this were a game, stealth would be the obviously broken mechanic. You wouldn't need to stack anything else to win all your battles.
