Stop SPOILING Game of Thrones!
I am so sick of all the trolls and rude folks that keep putting up the spoilers for a show that MANY of us have not seen yet! The show is only 9 years old. That's still very new. It's disgusting how many people are randomly listing characters who were killed last night, whining about how dark the battle scenes were, and mentioning how "you wouldn't understand because you're not IN the GOT club." Ive witnessed less stuck up attitudes walking down the hallways my Junior year in high school.
1. First of all, stop calling it GOT. That sounds like a gang member's last words to their victim. It's Game of Thrones. Have some respect.
2. I bought all the Blu-Rays for Game of Thrones and just started watching the first episodes. I had read the first season is slow, but I found it quite well paced. When I complimented how much I LOVED it so far for not being as slow as I read, my snobby friend interrupted me and snidely remarked "If you think the first season isn't slow, you haven't seen the series all the way. It gets much faster." She says this with a 'I'm better then you' voice. When I told her it was hard for me to keep up, she put a new shade of lipstick on and scoffed "Kindergarteners can keep up with Game of Thrones." Wow- so this series is meant for children under 6 years old? I always thought a series with lots of sex, violence and language would be deemed for those over 17. But apparently Game of Thrones is right next to Sesame Street.
3. I am tired of all the Game of Thrones viewing parties. Many times people just light up and get high- and if you're not part of that circle, you're just laughed at. Don't get me started on the alcoholics that exclude you.
4. My female friend recently told me I am having an emotional reaction to not fitting in with the Game of Thrones crowd. Mind you, she's the same one that brags about how she has a dog and I 'wouldn't understand how to care for one, let alone walk it.' She constantly nags me to watch series past the year 1999, calling me "old and tired" when I say I would prefer to watch the original Twilight Zone vs the horrible new Jordan Peele junk.
5. Overall, it's just a series. But many of you elitist folks who "EVEN READ THE BOOKS" take this to a level of living your life or not having one.
I cant wait for this to get cancelled. Along with the annoying superhero craze (which you can also read my contempt for), Game of Thrones needs to GO.
