Series 8 opener- boring?
I think we all expected too much after the long wait?
It was setting the scene, I suppose, and will watch the rest. But anti-climax so far...

Boring is an apt description. It was not a good episode.
sharePersonally, I wasn't bored at any point in the episode... but that's just me. I was having fun seeing everyone reunite and seeing the pretty realistic reactions to each other!
shareI agree--I wasn't bored at all. The forces of the south and the north are still consolidating their alliance...after the finish of season 7 that took place in King's Landing, there HAD to be an episode that showed the army now massing for combat at Winterfell. And how could anyone claim the episode was anti-climatic when it included Jon Snow finally being told his true origins?
Some people are just lunkheads who aren't entertained unless they're seeing constant violence and carnage...too much videogame influence, I guess.
There's going to be a lot of fighting coming up, so I'm okay with it not happening yet.
