Which some rumors are suggesting. If only for the fact that I hate it when major characters are dramatically killed off and then dramatically brought back from the dead, only to be killed off again.
It just ends up feeling redundant and ultimately reduces the impact of each death imo. I'd rather he stayed dead the first time.

Al though my guess is that it will be Dany and her dragons, not Jon.
Between the two my longtime feeling has been that Daenerys would be most likely to die in the engame via some sort of noble sacrifice with her dragons but maybe that's too obvious.
Either way it's highly probable that one will die as I think there is almost zero chance of the series ending with Jon & Daenerys married and ruling together. Way too neat. No way R.R. Martin would end it that way.

shareI've had the feeling that more major characters will die then will not die..but while sad it's somehow easier to handle at the very end when you don't have to actually miss the character.
But while I don't want Jon to die either it has nothing to do with him being brought back.
I just don't want him to die.
The only characters I feel are truly safe are maybe Samwell and Gilly. Everyone else is up for grabs.
Jon and Daenery may both die ....heroically...
