i feel like the show peaked in 2014-2015 in terms of popularity.

It'll definitely be the most watched series finale in HBO history eclipsing The Sopranos. Personally I can't wait for the last 6 episodes. Especially since they are all going to be 80 minutes or so. So basically we get 6 movies to close it out.
