how do you think Season 8 will begin?
I mean the very first scene in particular. I think it'll be the Walkers attacking a northern village near the Wall.

shareDepends on whether or not it is a cold open. The 2 they've done besides the pilot are the return of the Hound and Arya poisoning the Freys. Both of those in the beginning appear to be away from the main plot, with a reveal at the end. I'm gonna guess it will be Qyburn and Euron leaving Essos with the mercenaries, and at the end we will see Daario and/or Melisandre in the group.
shareAlso, the forging of Oathkeeper and Widow's Wail from Ice. I'm pretty sure that was a cold open too.
shareI think the second scene will be Jon bringing Danerys to Winterfell and a happy family reunion and the Stark sisters getting dragon rides and arguments over whether to get married, but yeah. The very first scene will be some sort of mayhem.
But the mayhem needs to be more significant than some random village being destroyed by the armies of the dead. How about the destruction of Castle Black or one of the Wall forts manned by the wildlings? Or the Night's King raising him arms and freezing Eastwatch harbor for miles out to sea? Something that implies Doom Is Upon Us?
...and how about a reveal that Tormund is still alive.
shareI think season 8 will start there where season 7 stopped or with a flashback but more likely where season 7 stopped
The Night's King sitting on a frosted-over Iron Throne. The rest of the series will be a flashback showing how it all went down.
Or, if they don't want to go the route of Heroes or Breaking Bad season openers...
It'll be something (seemingly) relatively low key, like Theon attempting to free Yara.
The camera will pan down from a snowy sky and reveal a massive chunk of the wall destroyed, pans down further, and we will see the massive million undead army pouring down from the north, through the icy wall chunks and remains of Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. The Night's King will zoom by on his ice dragon, Viseragosa.
So sort of like how the last season ended. :)
I would bet anything that this will be the opening scene.
