Why do they always say end you instead of kill you?

Why do they always say end you instead of kill you? It's not just GOT's anymore either, it's like all American shows and movies.

Well, Dan and David are Americans, as is George, so it's fine. Ending someone is the same as killing someone.

It's more poetic.

It emphasizes termination of lineage. Like, you whole house is wiped out and erased from the history of Westeros.

Being killed on GoT or other shows can be temporary. But being ended sounds really permanent.

Because that is the trendy in-the-now way of saying "kill you". Some movie or show in the last 5 years or so used that phrase and it caught on and now it's seen as edgy and cool.

Oh well, at least it's better than "Imma bust a cap in you, sucka!"
