Sansa trap for Littlefinger since Sansa and Arya are both "vulnerable" because their protector is gone? Littlefinger will make his move now and Sansa will be ready for it.

Also she needed to know the lords and the Vale would have her back, she let Littlefinger do that work for her.

I thought Sansa sent brienne because she has a good relationship with Jaime Lannister. The important part from that scene is brienne mentions she doesn't trust littlefinger immediately after littlefinger mentions brienne to Sansa as a tool against arya. I took away Sansas pensive gaze at the end to mean she is suspicious of littlefinger because brienne goes out of her way seemingly out of nowhere and warns her of him.
