Dirty Dozen Team?

If YOU were Jon putting together a Dirty Dozen style raiding party for a secret mission beyond the Wall, who would you take? Seems like most of the best warriors left alive are already with Jon.

The problem is that this is the Eagle into Mordor scenario. The smartest thing to do is for Dany to fly one of her dragons to the far end of the army and grab one with the dragon claws avoiding the WW generals and NK. It would be a lot safer.

But if I were him I would have brought who was already coming but included Pod, Brienne and Littlefinger (just to make him prove his usefulness at this point, but with the ulterior motive being the expectation that he will die horribly)

Nah, the sensible thing for Jon to do would be to send word up and down the Wall that he'll give gold to the first person who brings him an animate zombie. Someone will find a straggler or set a trap or just kill someone who's been getting on their nerves and wait for them to start moving, because everyone's got a co-worker who needs killing.

Going himself with a few men, to the place where Bran says the main army headed, is monumentally stupid. He's the only person in a position of real power who's seen the White Walkers and their army, the war between the living and the dead is lost without him.

Tyrion, Hot Pie, and Sam. Best of the best.
