They should have brad Pitt show up, beat up podrick and shout repeatedly "where's Edmure!"
shareUncle Edmure returned to Riverrun I thought, and swore fealty to the Lannister/Frey alliance. With House Frey wiped out at the Twins, and the Lannister army moving northward to keep the peace, I'm sure Edmure has his own tricks up his sleeve to remove Lannister from his castle.

shareMy guess is that Littlefinger is going to rush to wherever he is, rescue him, and use the Vale knights to put him back in charge of the Riverlands and Riverrun. That will put him in control of the three northernmost kingdoms, with all three Lords as his dependents or debtors, a solid half of Westeros.
And if that happens, that would mark the point where he can no longer pretend to he serving Cersei, he'd be her equal or superior in terms of wealth and real power. She might even offer him marriage, and can you imagine having to choose between marrying Littlefinger or marrying Urine Greyjoy?

I'm still amazed at how many people forgot that in the season six finale Walder Frey tells Jaime that he locked Edmure back in the cell (and thus broke Jaime's promise to Edmure).
Jaime doesn't respond and doesn't seem to care. Awful writing.
