Cersei and the Mountain = Sidious and Vader?

I just saw a YouTube video breaking down one of the Season 7 trailers, and they commented on how the Mountain was similar to Vader, especially with the new black armor. That would make Cersei's rise to power similar to Palpatine/Sidious's.

The Mountain was raised from the dead into a mute brute, while Vader was brought back from the brink of death and turned into more of a machine. The difference is Anakin almost had a heart before he transformed into Vader; the Mountain has always been a monster.

Cersei isn't quite as clever as Palpatine was, but she's certainly devious and manipulative. And mad, of course. Luckily she can't shoot lightning out of her hands.

Anyway, your thoughts?

Interesting theory but, as you point out, it gives Cersei far too much credit and ignores the entire arc of Anakin.

The Mountain's new armor is super cool. And next Sunday is too damn far away!

I loved everyone's new black outfits.
The mountains new black armor, Cersei's black leather quilted jacket, Dany's black homecoming dress.

Yeah, they're certainly not exactly the same. But there are some similarities.

I do like the Mountain's new armor better than the gold armor.
