So I thought that many people watch the show for the human interactions, the politics, the fanservice, which will be mostly gone in season 8 in order to give us a pretty generic zombie apocalypse. So of course the ratings won't drop, but I think they might lose a bit of the viewers.

I'd love it to be a big twist with the walkers not being the big final zombie apocalypse villains, but it really seems we're headed that way.
What I hope for (but is extremely unlikely) is Cersei being both the final villain and coincidental heroine by destroying everyone (including the white walkers) with wildfire.
Well Cersei blew up many of those who could interact. But the most enticing characters are still alive and that will be interesting given the threat level, especially with Arya, Dany, Tyrion and Varys back in Westeros.
Plus I'm expecting Dany - Jon, Cersei - Jamie, Sansa - Dickon, Arya - Gendry, Tormund - Brienne interactions.

I also want a Sansa-Tyrion reunion.
The interaction I really want to see is Tyrion with any of the stupid beasts.
